About Mike Lyon

I am a member of the firm’s senior leadership team and serve on the Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity Committees. I have been with Bates White for more than 20 years. In my current role, I lead and direct the teams responsible for implementing the technology initiatives that touch all aspects of the firm. I focus on guiding the strategic design and implementation of solutions to enhance business processes and the strategic direction of the firm’s continually evolving information services and systems. Regarding IT security management, I identify, evaluate, select, and implement security programs to safeguard critical business information and systems. I have extensive experience performing audits and risk assessments of information systems, including identifying vulnerabilities, recommending mitigation strategies, and developing IT security measures to ensure compliance and safeguarding of the firm’s assets.Prior to Bates White, I provided technical services to private and government clients/employers. My work included network integration, management, and monitoring; data configuration and monitoring; and end-user and client support.
