ABOUT MIKE LOWN

I graduated from Emerson College in 2015 with a Bachelor\'s Degree in Visual Media Arts, where I developed my passion for film and digital media. Since then, I have been working as an Online Platform Manager at Sundance Institute, where I oversee the technical and operational aspects of the Sundance Film Festival\'s online platform, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for the global audience. I also manage the Tribeca At Home streaming platform, where I am responsible for ingesting, cataloging, and processing media assets, creating and implementing archival policies, generating detailed analytics reports, troubleshooting IT issues, hiring and supervising staff to provide customer support and optimal platform performance. Additionally, I work as an Online Festival Project Manager at Ann Arbor Film Festival, where I collaborate with Agile Ticketing to create a box office workflow for generating in-person and virtual showtimes, and organize the acquisition and transcoding of digital assets and film prints for competition screenings and filmmaker retrospectives. I leverage my skills in marketing campaigns, video editing, and photography to create compelling and accessible content for diverse audiences. I am motivated by the mission of supporting independent and innovative filmmakers and showcasing their work to the world. I bring a diverse perspective and experience to the team, as I have lived and worked in different countries and cultures.
