About Mike Laughlin

Currently I direct the VillaKids department for VillaSport Cinco Ranch. Responsibilities include all aspects of child safety while children are in our care, hiring and development of our teachers and counselors, budgeting for all three VillaKids programs, and general management duties club wide. At Alamo Drafthouse I planned and executed private and corporate events for our guests. I was also responsible for theater service and operations during showtimes, and I trained new hires. At Llano Estacado Winery, I began as a part time tour guide and worked my way up to becoming the first Director of Hospitality. Responsibilities included oversight of the four direct to consumer departments, budgeting, training and development of new staff, planning wine club events, public and private festivals and parties, community outreach and sales, attending and running board meetings and shareholder events, and assisting with general winery operations. During my time at Llano, I also represented us with the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce. My time as an ambassador saw personal attendance of over business ribbon cuttings, ground breakings, B2B networking events, and local festivals. I chaired the second ever Lubbock Wine Festival, and was Chairman of the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce ambassadors in 2017. During that time I officiated 200 business events. In 2022, I was recognized as the employee of the year for VillaSport Cinco Ranch. In 2017 I was recognized as a Top 20 Under 40 member of the Lubbock Business Community.
