About Mike Kobs
My current role is to actively manage NM\'s municipal bond portfolio, including trading, quant and credit research. With limited other internal resources devoted to munis, I am extremely fortunate to work and lead an accomplished, collegial group of investment professionals that I am constantly collaborating with and learning from.Over the last 30+ years I have worked in the capacity of a credit analyst, quantitative analyst, trader and portfolio manager. I have managed portfolios for life insurance, property and casualty insurance and mutual fund clients. Municipal assets managed include taxable, tax exempt, derivatives and structured products. I have been involved across the credit spectrum from high grades through speculative grade securities in every sector.

I lead the group and actively participate in credit research, trading and portfolio management on a daily basis.
