   Founded in 1956, Winsupply Inc. is a leading supplier of residential and commercial construction and industrial supplies and materials, serving a diversified customer base. The privately-held company consists of more than 570 wholesaling locations in 45 states with employees and billions of dollars in sales. As Vice President of Risk Management, I oversee two direct-report managers with oversight for safety training and fleet services and responsibility for the entire $7 million property and casualty program. Key activities in my current role: Manage medical and voluntary benefit plans, including insurance coverages. Collaborate with vendors on risk transfer, certificates of insurance, and signed vendor contracts. Establish company policies for safety, risk transfer, drug testing, and employee benefits. Implement measures to reduce costs, improve efficiencies, and protect assets from loss. Serve on internal committees, including Wellness and Disaster Recovery, and fulfill role as Secretary for Winsupply companies, providing official signoff on RFPs/bids and other documents. KEY CONTRIBUTIONS: Led successful effort to cut healthcare spending, resulting in projected $2 million savings in 2017. Partnered with new vendors and transitioned to new model fostering employee engagement and wellness. Lowered worker’s compensation mod rate from.98 to.48. Cut $1.5 million in property and casualty premiums by auditing policies and completing comprehensive RFP. Reduced cash collateral amount (cash used to pay claims upfront for the policy) from $6.2 million to under $4 million over 5-year period. Implemented safety training program across 600 local Winsupply companies and established proper risk transfer with vendors.
