About Mike Kihmm

After 30 (sworn) years in law enforcement, I immediately transitioned to The Irvine Company (Real Estate Investment Company) and I am currently a Senior Manager in Corporate Security, a cross-divisional position. My role involves protecting corporate assets by developing and integrating security strategies, enhancing security awareness, developing corporate security training, and improving physical security. I also work to integrate the business units (Retail, Apartments, and Commercial properties) in Northern California (Silicon Valley and surrounding areas). Additionally, I serve as the Law Enforcement Liaison for our NorCal properties.During my time in law enforcement, I was fortunate to gain experience in project management, budget planning, leadership, and communications skills. I have prepared and presented significant presentations to the community, City, County, and State governments. Specifically, I have created, written, and directed policies for the San Jose Police Department and I have maintained an excellent performance record and earned a reputation for dedication, teamwork, and a solid work ethic.
