   As a member of the Bike & Pedestrian team, our focus is to promote/implement Safe Routes to School, NJ Division of Highway Traffic Safety, Street Smart NJ, and NJ transit programs within the counties of Bergen, Essex, Monmouth, Passaic and Union Counties. Community Outreach will occur with schools, municipal staff, parent-teacher groups, active senior or community centers, and/or other community members /organizations to provide safety presentations and events. Our focus is the implementation and promotion of the Safe Routes to School program and recognizing the commitment and dedication of schools and municipalities annually. Technical Assistance will be provided for walk/bike audits, school travel plans, walk/bike to school day events, learn to ride classes, bike rodeos/safety skill sessions, and other relevant topics. Our goal is encouraging and promoting active transportation for all and improving the safety of all environments.
