ABOUT MIKE HEWITT
In July, 2022 I will celebrate over 30 years in law enforcement. I joined the Indianapolis Police Department and served in many different areas over the years including the Accident Investigations Unit, a Guest Instructor as IPD Liaison to Indiana Law Enforcement Academy, Criminal Investigations Unit, as a Core Vehicle Theft Detective, Felony Sex Crimes Investigator, Asset Forfeiture Investigations Detective, Public Information Officer/Media Relations Specialist,/Task Force Officer with the United States Marshal Service. I am currently working as an Analyst Detective in The Indianapolis Metro Police Department Real Time Crime Center. I attribute my professional success to my ability to adapt to new situations, my willingness to learn, dedication to the task at hand, and good work habits. I have a keen eye for detail and the communication skills needed to gain and maintain the trust of my peers, supervisors, and the general public. My goal is to use those strengths to launch a new career after my retirement from IMPD.
