ABOUT MIKE GOEMAAT
I am a passionate film and television scholar who recently received my Master\'s in Cinema and Media Studies from the University Southern California. I previously graduated from Dickinson College with a B.A. in English. My primary research was in the fields of media industry studies and queer production studies, focusing on the business strategies that streaming and subscription video-on-demand services are using to transform the production, distribution, and reception of domestic and international LGBTQ+ film and television. I hope to translate these research interests into a career in media market research, strategy, or entertainment marketing. I previously spent 8 years in the Architecture / Engineering / Construction industry, working as a sales and marketing professional for one of the largest general contractors in the country. In my most recent role there, I was the Marketing Lead for one of the company\'s Core Market teams, where our small team focused on strategically supporting the core market\'s key new and repeat customers and the company\'s 30+ Business Units.
