Having served FEMA at eight locations for the past eighteen years has offered a broad and unique perspective of FEMA’s overall mission. These opportunities have also provided the ability to build strong analytical and program management skills, and have enabled the development of long-lasting internal and external working relationships with numerous professionals across a wide array of Disaster Assistance communities. Locations of service include FEMA Headquarters, Mount Weather Emergency Operations Center (MWEOC), Maryland National Processing Service Center (MD-NPSC), Virginia National Processing Service Center (VA-NPSC), Winchester Cold/Dry Storage Facility, and three additional locations within the National Capital Region.Protection and National Preparedness: September 2006 – Present: Serving as Supervisory Branch Chief for the Operations Division / Policy, Plans, and Evaluations Branch. Office of Response & Recovery: July – September 2006: Served FEMA’s Office of Response & Recovery during declarations DR-1239-TX to DR-1659-NM, and FM-2383-CO to FM-2463-CA while with the Fire Management Assistance Grant Program (FMAG). Roles and responsibilities include serving as Program Analyst, Team Lead, Program Specialist, or Program Manager in areas including Flood Mapping, National Response Coordination Center, Disaster Declarations Unit, Recovery Division Policy, MD and VA-NPSC’s operations, FEMA Inspection Services, Community and Family Services Branch, FMAG, FEMA Disaster Assistance Helpline, Disaster Assistance Tele-registration, and MD-NPSC Mailroom.Prior Federal service: Consists of successfully managing three privately owned small businesses consisting of 30 years of overall managerial experience.
