ABOUT MIKE FARAM
Following a few decades in senior roles in enviro-tech businesses, I now split my time between helping organisations to optimise their water and energy costs (as part of a small team of specialists) alongside providing technical and management consultancy services to energy/renewable and water/enviro-tech businesses - water, energy and environment have been common themes for me, for much of my professional life.My venture into utility (and in particular, water) cost reduction has truly been an eye opener, where we are regularly identifying and recovering overcharges in the £100k\'s for clients who didn\'t know they were being overcharged, even when they thought they had this covered (e.g. through other service provision). Nevertheless, convincing people that this might be the case is often challenging.In my earlier career, I was heavily involved in water-enviro tech innovation, resulting in over a dozen patents for technology that\'s now used globally, alongside authoring/co-authoring over 75 publications, mainly on sustainable approaches to water management.
