As an Eastern Canada Safety Manager supporting multiple Kiewit projects, I’ve been responsible for leading safety performance across some of the region’s most complex civil, industrial, and energy‑sector builds. My work has taken me through large-scale infrastructure programs, bridge construction, gas plant development, and heavy civil operations—each requiring a disciplined and practical approach to risk management and field engagement.I provide hands‑on leadership to project teams, ensuring that safe‑work planning, hazard identification, and high‑risk controls are fully integrated into daily operations. My role includes conducting detailed risk assessments, supporting critical‑lift planning, overseeing incident investigations, and ensuring corrective actions are both effective and workable for crews in the field. I work closely with superintendents, engineers, and craft leadership to build a culture where safety expectations are clear, consistent, and reinforced through action.A major part of my work involves coaching frontline supervisors, facilitating training, and ensuring compliance with provincial legislation, client requirements, and Kiewit’s internal standards. I also contribute to audits, trend analysis, and continuous‑improvement initiatives that strengthen safety performance across multiple projects and regions.
