ABOUT MIKE CHAPMAN
I am a chartered accountant and chartered tax advisor who has worked for a number of high profile accountancy practices since qualification. Originally an accountant by training I now specialise solely in corporation tax work and have extensive compliance and advisory experience with the taxation affairs of expanding businesses in a variety of sectors. I have provided in depth advice to many companies in the field of tax mitigation through the application of the complex rules in the areas of R&D and capital allowances and have a strong business development and leadership record. I have lead responsibility for the tax function at Knill James, a service line that has flourished in recent years with the firm twice shortlisted in the prestigious national Tolley\'s Tax Awards for \'Best Single Office Tax Practice\'. I am also a member of the UK200 Tax Panel, providing a national technical resource for independent practices. I have lectured and written extensively on a variety of taxation subjects and apart from R&D and capital allowances my specialist skills include- HM Revenue & Customs specialist clearances- Group reorganisations and reconstructions- Corporate Finance transaction support work- HMRC enquiry negotiation.
