I am responsible for the overall success of projects and the operations of the Projects Department. I liaise with the Project Sponsor, coordinate with stakeholders and supervise the various project team members, overseeing project implementation, execution and closeout. I am directly responsible for both the projects\' and the department\'s financial and administrative oversight, reporting and monitoring.Projects include both brownfield and greenfield scopes, ranging from new venues and large offsite capital assets to renovations and maintenance of existing assets. A strong focus on relationship building, contractor accountability and budget optimization is required to succeed in the Bow Valley\'s unique market conditions. More specifically my responsibilities include-Defining the scope of a project as it relates to the overall business objectives and needs-Schedule and budget creation and management; maintain and update project dashboards and other tracking / management tools-RFP / RFQ creation, issuance, monitoring and management, award selection and contract execution-Planning and monitoring each task throughout a project to ensure each item is completed in a timely manner-Managing the project resources including the team’s time and hours-Developing and maintaining relationships with key partners including consultants, contractors, and vendors-Communicating effectively on each status of the project to corresponding stakeholders-Liaising with internal stakeholders including Operations, Finance, and Executive Leadership-Foreseeing and eliminating possible blockers-Documenting each step in the process using different project management tools-Scheduling and facilitating project reviews, inspections, and turnover of commissioned sites to the Operations team-Ensuring top quality and success of a project-Promoting and enforcing compliance of safety expectations and related reporting.
