About Mike Bucchi

I have extensive experience in the Department of Defense with over 33 years in the US Navy. During those years, I commanded a fighter squadron, an air wing, a Carrier Battle Group, Chief of Naval Air Training and Third Fleet. Many years of on hands C4ISR useage. As Third Fleet, commanded the Navy\'s Sea Based Battle Lab which was charged with getting new technology to the Fleet faster than the normal acquisition system could perform.After transitioning from the Navy, I entered the business world with a small service provider company whose main business was supporting the Navy and Marine Corps C4I systems. Later, this company was acquired by a large Defense company and I helped with transitioning the company thru two major phases. After moving to Bloomington, Indiana, I began working with Concurrent Technologies Corporation.I am presently employed by Phoenix Data Corporation, a woman-owned, small disadvantaged, 8(a) certified business located in Indianapolis, IN. I reside in Bloomington, Indiana and have a primary focus on developing regional and national DoD business as the company\'s Vice President of Military Development.My intent is to leverage my past experience with both industry and defense to help enable the military and/or industry to increase their effectiveness.
