Strategic lead for crime reduction, security and policing• Designated as Nominated Security Contact under the Department for Transport’s National Railway Security Programme being the key point of contact for all national security/counter terrorism matters• Responsible for determining and defining critical business information that needs to be produced for area of responsibility• Responsible for compliance with the National Railway Security Programme across all activities and directorates• Provision of security expertise to the organisation in relation to ongoing projects and operations• Ownership of the Policing Plan, responsible for the delivery and co-ordination of that plan, liaising with central and route-based action owners to track and report on progress• Responsible for ensuring that the strategic objectives as set out in the policing and security plans are aligned to the work being undertaken by key stakeholders• Responsible for collaborating with NWR and BTP regarding the utilising of shared resources• Fosters a Zero Harm culture where everyone understands their role in security and crime reduction • Represents GTR and liaise with industry groups on policing, security and crime and disorder • Champions improvements in policing and security nationally, maintaining GTR’s reputation in the field• Initial point of contact for policing and security matters,
