ABOUT MIKE AUSTIN

As a resourceful, strategic leader, I have more than 30 years of extensive experience on major EPC oil & gas, energy, water and nuclear projects, including 20+ years in a project controls and planning capacity. My success includes leadership and management of project controls on major offshore/onshore construction projects, from front-end engineering design (FEED) to commissioning.I am confident in formulating a clear direction for projects via strategy planning, budget forecasting, cost estimating and monitoring, in addition to quality and policy review to strengthen functional infrastructure. I engage with multi-disciplined teams and take a leadership role to complete projects within deadlines and budgets, whilst considering risks. I am equally strong communicating directly with clients to capture and understand project control requirements to deliver appropriate solutions.During my career, I have had the opportunity to work for multi-national organisations such as Worley, Jacobs Ltd, Kvaerner Resources Ltd, Aker Engineering & Technology Ltd, and BNFL amongst various others. This has provided in-depth exposure to various standards and industry procedures to manage governance and deliver agreed scope of work.My academic credentials include certifications in supervisory management, engineering, advanced fabrication engineering and computer aided draughting and design, which have strengthened my skillset and been paramount to my career and ongoing progression.
