ABOUT MIKE A WEST
Director, and Story Artist with over 20 years of experience in the Animation industry. After starting my career in the late 90’s doing design, layout, animation and illustration for educational games and advertisements, I got my first Opportunity to storyboard on a short, film project, ‘Hammer & Tickle: the Communist Joke Book’ For Reel Wonders Studios. That led, soon after to my first series TV work, on ‘George of the Jungle’ with Studio B Productions (DHX Media/Wildbrain). I’ve been a board artist for most of my career since, and in recent years, storyboard supervisor, Assistant Director, and currently Director. I have also been involved in teaching Character Design, Storyboarding, and Animation, for 3D Animation, and Animation Concept Art (ACA) programs, at VFS for more than 20 years. Based in Vancouver BC.
