About Mikayla Shaffer

Hi! I have a passion for the media and communication field and I am looking forward to connecting with people and companies that have a similar passion.I have a wide variety of relevant experience starting in high school. I first discovered my passion for story-telling and social media as a young Youtuber. I would often get lost in developing, filming, editing and then promoting one of my adventures. As I developed my skills, I found that I wanted to take my responsibilities to the next level. This led to being selected for the position of social media director for one of the top high school student-run television stations in Indiana. As a freshman in college, I also applied to a highly competitive internship and was selected to be a marketing intern for ReFrame and Women in Film. I have a bachelors degree in Media Promotion and Management and want to focus on creating content for brands as well as promoting brand images. I have done several collaborations with my peers and I have learned that I am a great team player and work well with others but I have also been known to be a natural leader and can step up and take on more responsibility when I see the need. I am also very organized, task-oriented, and focused on whatever contributes to the success of a project or group. I have a long time interest in pop culture and the film/television industry and hope to couple my talents with those interests for my career.
