ABOUT MIKAYLA PHILLIPS

Mikayla Phillips graduated summa cum laude from Howard University, earning an Honors B.A. in Political Science with a History minor in 3.5 years and is from the Bay Area, California. She is currently living and working in New York City as Legal Recruiting Assistant at Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton. She completed her two-year role as a Corporate Paralegal at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz in the middle of 2025. She has strong passions for law, politics, and public service and has more recently developed interests in Human Resources, analytics, and people operations. She wants to further endeavor her interests and skills through internships and job experiences to accurately deduce what career path she wants to pursue wholeheartedly, with her sights set on law school in the near future. Mikayla is highly detail-oriented, organized, diligent, and an individual who values and excels at collaboration. In her most recent semester at Howard, she served on the executive board of the Howard University College Democrats as the Vice President and the Howard University Pre-Law Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, International as the President, and was a member of the campus Bunche Brigade, March for Our Lives Chapter, NAACP Chapter, and the Cali Club.
