Hi! I\'m Mikayla, an Informatics student at UC Irvine with experience in leadership, mentorship, and building projects that connect people. I’m passionate about creating inclusive, accessible technology and making tech spaces feel welcoming.Some things I’m proud of:~ Current Co-President of Women in Information and Computer Sciences (WICS), leading a board of 14 and committee of ~50 people where we work to empower and uplift women and allies in Information and Computer Sciences at UCI through various events, conferences, and building community.~ Past Internal Vice President of WICS, leading a 12-person committee and planning events for 165+ attendees.~ Learning Assistant for Programming with Software Libraries for two quarters, helping students strengthen their Python skills and gain confidence in tackling projects.~ Developed and designed Choconalities: Unwrap Your Chocolate Personality, an interactive quiz hosted on my personal website.~ Attended the Grace Hopper Celebration 2024, where I connected with professionals and gained insight on how to keep growing in this fieldI’m excited about opportunities where I can continue building projects, collaborate with others, and make a positive impact in tech communities.Let’s connect!
