ABOUT MIKAYLA HYLAND-WOOD
Protecting and promoting food and water security in an increasingly resource-scarce world is one of the most profound challenges of our time - and one that is not going away. My interest lies at the intersection of water security, agriculture and decision-making in international development contexts. Leveraging NGO, policy think tank and government experience, I am interested in bridging the priorities of smallholder communities and national research and policy institutes to drive equitable development outcomes in Australia and the wider Asia-Pacific region.I am current undertaking an MSc Water Science, Policy and Management at the University of Oxford alongside my role as Sustainable Water Lead of the UN FAO Youth Policy Board.
