ABOUT MIKAYLA DANIELS
University of Waterloo graduate, holding a Bachelor of Mathematics, Honours Actuarial Science and Statistics, Co-operative Program. From prior working experiences, I understand the importance of effective communication, teamwork, and leadership. I have strong knowledge of VBA, SAS, R, Python, Microsoft Excel, and experience with GGY Axis, Dynamics, and Radar. I am an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society with Exams 7 & 8. While in university, I held executive roles in extracurricular activities on campus including the UW Actsci Club and UW Quantify Risk & Insurance Case Competition. At Intact, I am a mentor in our new hire Success Partner Program and developed our Insurance Basics onboarding material for interns. I have also acted as the liaison for the Actuarial Club of Toronto, led the planning committee for ASNA, implemented the 700U Actuarial Social Committee, and now sit on the Toronto Recruitment Team to hire our future talent. I look forward to giving back to the community as much as possible. Born and raised in rural Nova Scotia, I love exploring the outdoors and hiking in my free time!
