About Mikael Matossian
I am keenly interested in the intersection of technology and policy in decarbonization. At Tetra Tech, I support international energy security and innovation projects in various technical and project management roles. Most recently, I served as deputy project manager for a US Government-funded project that promoted legal-regulatory reform, renewable energy, energy efficiency and emergency planning to advance energy security in Armenia.

As deputy project manager and cross-cutting technical lead for USAID Energy Secure Armenia, supported design and implementation of all institutional reforms, renewable energy, energy efficiency and emergency planning tasks, and helped managed $15 million budget, including financial reporting and overseeing all recruiting and procurements of goods and services- Supervised four-person cross-cutting team’s work on monitoring, evaluation and learning, communications, and gender and youth inclusion, including establishment of new strategic energy planning laboratory at the National Polytechnic University of Armenia, creation of new internship program to help recent graduates secure work, and facilitation of 2023 Energy Week, a series of workshops, conferences and a hackathon for 250 participants
