As a Regional Chief Medical Officer, I am responsible for the overall performance of Sound’s inpatient service lines and accountable for driving the success of Value based care for the Monarch Region ( Southern eastern part of United States). One of my key responsibility is supporting the Inpatient Service line (Hospital Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, Anesthesia, etc) programs under key performance financial and clinical drivers, be the engaged and supporting strategic partners to the health system\'s initiatives. RCMO leverages the data to understand key performance indicators across the Region overall, as well as understand financial performance from claims-based data sources. Directly responsible for multiple clinical and operational initiatives under BPCI-A, ACOs, and Payer relationship and performance improvement. We strive the excellence through continuous inpatient quality improvement along with applying lean principles to reduced health care costs. Key Accountabilities for the role: • Profit and loss responsibility for clinical service lines in the Gulf region (Southern States from TX to FL) • Program implementation and continuous improvement of multiple programs & initiatives concurrently. • Responsible for creating the culture and nurtures current physician leadership and frontline providers. • Responsible for developing and executing the strategic plan across operations, financial performance, and physician engagement initiatives while leveraging established Regional management processes. • Established the new framework for key physician leadership structure in the Gulf region including direct management, onboarding, execution, and performance improvements for Program Chiefs, SMDs, RMDs, VBC MDs & ACMOs. • Oversee key Value based relationships with BPCI-A, ACOs, RBEs, MSOs and PHMA payer relationships. Manage relationship and facilitate the appropriate transfer of data and information were relevant and partner on engagement strategies.
