ABOUT MIHAJLO JOVANOVIC

I’m a lifelong builder who loves working at the intersection of engineering, architecture, and product design.Over the past several years, my focus has shifted heavily toward GenAI and platform building—especially the kind of work that helps teams move from promising demos to real production systems. I enjoy building the foundations: frameworks, tooling, integration patterns, and platform capabilities that make AI systems easier to use, safer to operate, and more valuable to the people building and using them.My background is in enterprise architecture and distributed systems, with much of my career spent in FinTech and core banking modernization. I’ve been fortunate to work on large-scale platform efforts where reliability, scale, and clear system design really matter. I still enjoy the nuts and bolts of the work—thinking through tradeoffs, designing APIs, improving developer workflows, and getting hands-on in the code.I’m also deeply interested in programming languages and developer tooling, and I’ve worked across Java, Go, Rust, Python, Clojure, Scala, Kotlin, and a few others over the years (lately, Zig and Mojo have been fun). I tend to do my best work in roles that need both technical depth and people skills: bringing teams together, building consensus, and helping turn complex ideas into practical outcomes.Earlier in my career, I published research in distributed systems and peer-to-peer computing, and I’ve taught computer science courses at Franklin University, including distributed systems. Teaching has always been a meaningful part of how I think—clear communication, strong fundamentals, and helping others build confidence in hard topics.I care most about building useful things with good people: practical platforms, strong engineering teams, and systems that hold up in the real world.
