Lead engineer in developing organisation access security for National Health Service (NHS) patient appointment data in order to restrict over exposure of patient information to medical staff. Responsibilities included: design and integration of REST APIs in Java, development of associated microservices and integration into workflows- Development of NHS Patient Administration System, focusing on patient registration and appointment scheduling- Full stack development to ensure efficiency and effective user experience- Use of continuous integration environments- Extensive unit testing and reviewing experience- Working with microservices architecture and API driven service oriented architecture- Working within an Agile/SCRUM framework- Responsible for operational elements such as writing runbooks, structured logging, software documentation, and scripting- Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills- Strong knowledge of operating systems, object oriented paradigm, data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems- Strong understanding of data models and distributed persistence technologies.
