As the Laboratory Operations Manager for the Flow Cytometry and Cellular Immunology Laboratories, I lead the operational and strategic direction of two high-complexity clinical laboratories: the Diagnostic Immunology Laboratory and the Immunopathology Laboratory, both part of the Cancer and Blood Diseases Institute (CBDI).I oversee a team of approximately 30 full-time employees (FTEs), ensuring excellence in personnel management, financial stewardship, quality assurance, and the implementation of departmental goals. My role bridges clinical operations and innovation, with a focus on optimizing workflows, maintaining regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.Our laboratories perform a wide range of advanced testing systems, including: Cellular function flow cytometry, Leukemia/lymphoma immunophenotyping, Bone marrow sample collection and preparation, CD34+ stem cell enumeration and immunophenotyping, Live culture assays, and Comprehensive immunophenotyping for hematologic and immunologic disorders.
