ABOUT MIGUEL RICAURTE B.

I am an Economist at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) working on Debt Policy (SPR). Previously, I was an adviser at the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Ecuador (‘21-‘22), leading the relationship with the IMF around the EFF program (which included the design and approval of a tax reform in ‘21). Between ‘14-‘21, I was the Chief Economist for the Andean Region at Itaú. At the Central Bank of Chile, I led the International Analysis and Models Group (‘11-‘14) and was a Research Economist (‘09-‘11). In 2010, I was the Senior Advisor to the Executive Director for Chile at the IMF. I am an economist by training (B.A. in Economics \'99, Universidad San Francisco de Quito, Ecuador; M.A.\'07 and a Ph.D.\'09 in Economics, University of Minnesota), with an interest in public policy.Soy un Economista trabajando en Políticas de Deuda (SPR) en el Fondo Monetario Internacional (FMI). Anteriormente, fui asesor del Ministro de Economía y Finanzas del Ecuador (‘21-‘22), liderando la relación con el FMI en torno al programa SAF (incluyendo el diseño y aprobación de una reforma tributaria en ‘21). Entre ‘14-‘21 fui el Economista Jefe de Itaú Chile. En elBanco Central de Chile, fui Jefe del Grupo de Coyuntura y Modelos Internacional (‘11-‘14) y Economista Senior (‘09-‘11). En 2010 fui el Asesor Principal por Chile para el Director Ejecutivo del FMI. Soy un economista por entrenamiento (Licenciado en Economía ‘99, Universidad San Francisco de Quito, Ecuador; M.A. ‘07 y Ph.D. ‘09 en Economía, Universidad de Minnesota) con interés en las políticas públicas.
