From Springfield to Sauk County to Grand Rapids to Iraq and Afghanistan to Marshall Islands and Mexico to Punta Gorda and Santa Rosa, New Mexico where it all began.Coolest story I covered was the Mexican fisherman lost at sea for 6 months. Most rewarding stories: getting access to hospitals nationwide during the worst of Covid, reporting from Baltimore in the aftermath of Freddie Gray’s death. Most engaging stories: Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Most difficult story: the Norway attack where 77 people, mostly children, were killed by a monstrous human. NYC based but I get around.
