Lonza Houston is a Center of Excellence for Cell and Gene Therapy. As Sr. Director of Facilities and Engineering, I am responsible for develop the Engineering and Facilities strategies that allow us to keep growing and evolving with new clients and products. • Provide direct, hands-on leadership, oversight, and execution of Facilities and Engineering (F&E) Services • Develops and implements systems to ensure that the F&E supports the site long term objectives (Site Master Plan). This includes maintenance systems, utilities operations, process engineering, automation programs, facilities, project engineering, etc. • Experience implementing Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) • Site CAPEX management • Ensure that engineering work takes place in a manner consistent with corporate policy and procedure and consistent with other regulations (OSHA, cGMP, Good Engineering Practices, etc.) • Site Validations execution • Provide leadership to the department, including hiring, mentoring, retaining, and developing staff members • Support the Process Development (PD), Research & Development (R&D), and Manufacturing areas for technical engineering needs for GMP and Non-GMP systems • Collaborates with PD, Manufacturing, and Quality for the execution of all equipment set-up, qualification, validation, maintenance, calibration, and metrology related activities.
