ABOUT MIEKO 松丸三枝子 MATSUMARU MURAO
I am a designer, artist, and entrepreneur. My first design company that I established was acquired by a system development company. Then I invested that earning, and founded Graphnetwork, a web development company in Japan. That small company has become one of the leading companies in Japan that produce innovative websites and apps for major corporations. Since then, I have founded 8 companies and businesses, sold 5 of them for profit, and created over 100 jobs.After two decades of actively running businesses and companies, I realized the importance of higher education and joined the graduate program at MIT IDM to research and refine what I do for passion. As a designer, my mission is to create things that are beautiful, practical, and sustainable. As an entrepreneur, I am interested in ways businesses can be successful without sacrificing sustainability, to mitigate harm to the environment.
