About Midori Valdivia
Midori (she/her/ella) is a transportation and infrastructure leader providing strategy, policy, and project advisory services. She is the founder of Midori Valdivia Consulting LLC, working alongside organizations that make change, from city and state agencies to communities and advocacy groups. Midori is also an executive recruiter who builds teams to implement innovative policies and advises on organizational development. Midori speaks nationally on various issues, including public sector workforce and leadership, decarbonization, Equitable Transit-Oriented Development, and sustainable finance models for transportation services and expansion. Midori has led on innovative policy development & implementation throughout her career, including as a taxi and TNC regulator and shepherding congestion pricing legislation in New York. Midori serves as a Board Member of the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority, the largest transportation organization in North America, serving millions daily. Midori is also a trustee of the Transit Center, a board member of the Shared Use Mobility Center, and on the board of directors of the Regional Plan Association. She is committed to expanding mobility options for people, making transportation faster and more affordable while centering equity and accessibility in transit. She is focused supporting the leadership journeys of Black, brown, Indigenous, and immigrant people and women of color and co-founded the Women of Color Network in Transportation and Climate Infrastructure.
