ABOUT MICK THORNTON
My passion is connecting people with information and empowering them to act. I teach employees how to use many of today\'s most popular computer programs, including SharePoint, Power BI, Power Apps, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and SQL. In 2007, I saw the trend and future of training. Since 2014, I now deliver all of my training electronically using virtual meeting software from Teams, Skype, WebEx, and GoToMeeting. Virtual forces trainers to flip the classroom and focus on the training goal. It requires more effort to learn but the reach is greater than I ever imagined. I taught people from Australia to Ireland, all from my home office in Bellevue, WA. Specialties: Database design, SharePoint and SharePoint Online, Power Platform and Excel Data Analysis, Soft skills include people and project management and training complex topics for end users. New areas I\'m exploring include Azure, Dataverse, and the broader Microsoft 365 tools and integrations. How to move from power user to maker, all while collaborating with others.
