For more than 78 years, Civil Air Patrol has organized, trained, and equipped volunteers to perform a wide variety of missions for the nation. CAP remains the foremost provider of in-land search & rescue, credited with 158 lives saved in a single year. I grew up as a cadet in this amazing organization and have served in various capacities over 25 years- teaching aerospace, leadership, and character development, as well as performing as an aerial mission observer on search and rescue, disaster recovery, and homeland defense missions.
