ABOUT MICHAEL ABEL DEBEBE
I am a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Cologne, developing biostatistical methods for high-dimensional data in toxicology. My work focuses on the intersection of statistical modeling and molecular imaging, regarding the utilization of Mass Spectrometry Imaging (MALDI-MSI) data.Prior to my PhD, I completed a Master’s degree in Statistics and Data Science, where I integrated a thesis and internship at Boehringer Ingelheim’s Center of Excellence. My work there focused on experimental design for combination dose-ranging studies in preclinical R&D. Outside of academia, I’m an endurance athlete who enjoys triathlons, ultramarathons, and open-water swims, with a particular enthusiasm for full-distance Ironman races.
