ABOUT MICKAEL ESKINAZI

Assistant Psychiatrist (Geneva)| MSc in Neuroscience I am a psychiatrist based in Geneva, currently working in consultation-liaison psychiatry in geriatric care at the University Hospitals of Geneva. My clinical and research path has been shaped by a deep interest in altered states of consciousness through technodelics, hypnosis, and psychedelics, existential psychiatry, and the interface between neuroscience and lived experience. With a dual background in medicine and psychology, and a Master\'s in Neuroscience focused on intracranial EEG of hippocampal activity during sleep arousals, I have always sought to bridge the objective and the subjective brain and being. My academic journey led me from early work on sleep, intuition, and virtual reality, to my current focus on therapeutic innovation in psychiatry, including psychedelic-assisted treatments for depression, anxiety, and end-of-life distress in the elderly. My work is grounded in clinical practice but driven by the desire to question and expand the frameworks through which we understand suffering, consciousness, and transformation.
