About Mick Schwedler

Mick has been active in the development, training, and support of energy efficient systems which minimize environmental emissions since 1982. With expertise in system optimization and control (in which he holds patents), and in hydronic system design, Mick’s primary responsibility today is to help designers, engineers, building owners, students and building operators properly apply systems into efficient and sustainable projects. To do so, he provides one-on-one support, writes technical publications and industry articles, and presents seminars. Topics include energy optimization, chilled water system optimization, electrification of hydronic heating systems with the goal to decarbonize, geothermal applications, and heat recoveryTo date, he has reached audiences in-person throughout North America as well as in the Far East. Europe and South America – where he presented multiple years at Conbrava. He has also presented such information as well as other sustainable building education virtually to over people as presenter and host of Trane\'s Engineers Newsletter Live broadcasts. Mick was intimately involved with energy modeling as author of significant portions of the TRACE™ (Trane Air Conditioning Economics) program’s equipment section.ASHRAE: Fellow, President (2021-22; Society focus,\"Feed the Roots\").
