Review and analyze specifications for product features and releases. Design and write a detailed test plan for each product release, and get the plan reviewed and approved by the project team. Manage the testing activities, including identifying and mitigating risks and plan the appropriate testing. Maintain and manage the data in the bug tracking tool for consistency and quality. Monitor defect database to ensure defects are being processed in a timely fashion Ensure that test coverage is performed on the application and that the level of testing meets the release quality criteria. Determine automation requirement and drive automation development efforts ensuring they get sufficient attention. Participate in weekly meeting involving the Project Manager, Product Manager, Documentation and Development Lead to provide visibility on QA activities and make sure feature testing and regression testing are performed on time and as per test plan.
