About Michel Munoz

I am a Baltimore native who graduated with a BS in Mechanical Engineering at Loyola University Maryland in August 2017. Engineering has been in my blood since my father brought home an old electric bread board from his work to tinker with. I am currently a mechanical design engineer for CRB in Rockville, MD. The majority of my work at CRB has been helping design facilities for R&D, Biotech, and Pharmaceutical companies among others. I also have experience in the Aerospace Industry as a manufacturing engineer at Middle River Aero-structure Systems. I am an active member of the Batimore Section of ASME and have been a section leader since 2019.

   Develops mechanical construction drawings and packages for cGMP manufacturing spaces in facilities that create pharmaceutical products and therapies • Utilizes heat load modeling software to calculate cooling to properly maintain space temperature settings • Maps room pressurization plans to segregate rooms of different cleanliness rating to ensure integrity of product sterility• Produces P & IDs in AutoCAD to designate the network of mechanical equipment, utilities, and controls operating inside the manufacturing facilities• Calculates ventilation requirements needed for occupied building spaces according to ASHRAE 62.1 • Generates static pressure computations of routed ductwork to size air handling units • Coordinates with Electrical Engineers, Architects, and Process Engineers during design to guarantee the interface between disciplines is efficient and without conflict• Conducts field surveys to gather existing conditions of a site before design is composed • Observes and records the progress of construction to validate the accuracy and quality of trade partners’ work
