About Michelle Ward
Michelle Ward, M.Ed, APR is an experienced consumer-centric marketing and communications professional based in Nashville, Tenn. With expertise in the education and healthcare industries, Michelle has developed and executed successful growth strategies to help organizations reach more students and families. Michelle is currently the vice president of sales and marketing at New Classrooms and recently served as an adjunct professor at Belmont University. In 2021, Michelle received the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Mercury Award for her demonstration of well-rounded leadership through accelerated professional accomplishments, service to PRSA Nashville and philanthropic endeavors in the Nashville community.Michelle is a two-time graduate of Belmont University where she earned her bachelors in public relations, and her master of education degree in organizational leadership and communication. She is currently pursuing her PhD in strategic leadership in education at Belmont. She is a member of the national and Nashville chapters of PRSA and serves on the PRSA Nashville Board as Director at Large. Her previous roles include chairing the programs, public service, social media & newsletter, and Parthenon Awards committees.Michelle has volunteered for local nonprofit, Book\'em, and has also volunteered in many Nashville public schools as a teacher\'s assistant and tutor. One of Michelle’s favorite past volunteer experiences was planning a fundraising campaign for Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities Nashville.Other honors Michelle has received include two Parthenon Awards for Marketing and Integrated Communications in 2021, and a Parthenon Award for Reputation/Brand Management in 2017. In 2016, Michelle received a PR News Platinum PR Award for her work on a national rebranding campaign for ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy & Education. In 2013 she was recognized as the Susan G. Barnes Public Relations Graduate of the Year from Belmont. In 2012 she was nominated for Tech Student of the Year by Nashville Technology Council, accepted the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) National Gold Key Award, the highest individual honor given to members of PRSSA, and was awarded Nashville\'s PRSA Young Professionals Scholarship Award. In 2011, she received the Lovell Ethics Advocacy Award of Excellence.
