About Michelle Baker
Hello, my name is Michelle Baker. I am a Sacramento native and attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, graduating with a Bachelor of Journalism – Advertising/Public Relations. Go Big Red!I have a strong and diverse background – I’ve worked in both the public and private sector, and each position has taught me something new. I’ve provided counsel for some of the state’s most complex legislative issues; worked with state and local agencies on winning marketing campaigns; project managed communication projects for the California State Assembly and California State Senate; executed digital campaigns (both paid and organic social media campaigns and newsletter distributions); have written a multitude of key message documents (radio scripts, flyers, talking points, fact sheets, op-eds and letters-to-the-editor and many more); and compiled summaries of news media reports.I’m a highly organized project manager, a clear communicator and a valued team player that works toward common goals.I also enjoy giving back to my community. I am proud to be a member of the Junior League of Sacramento. I joined JLS in 2015 and have held a multitude of leadership roles (VP of Communications, Membership Advisor and PR/Marketing Chair).
