ABOUT MICHELLE T.

I’m an experienced educator and school leader who thrives at the intersection of teaching, learning, and system design. With more than two decades in secondary education—spanning special education, English, theater, instructional coaching and professional development, program leadership, and adult education—I bring a versatile skill set anchored in equity, inclusion, and research-driven practice. My core work centers on strengthening learning environments for adolescents, especially those with diverse learning profiles. I excel in building collaborative teams, designing inclusive systems, and coaching educators to elevate instruction through UDL, MTSS, and culturally responsive practices. I’m energized by complex problems of practice and by helping schools translate vision into coherent, student-centered action. As a neurodivergent educator, I approach leadership with a deep understanding of how people learn and what it takes to support meaningful change. I enjoy leading through partnership—asking the right questions, and creating the conditions for staff, students, and families to thrive. Professionally, I’ve worked across public schools, alternative programs, outplacement settings, virtual learning environments, and ed-tech projects PreK-12. Whether I’m supporting a student through a challenging transition, analyzing data with a team, or facilitating professional learning, I bring clarity, strategy, and a steady belief in what is possible for every learner. I hold current CT certifications in Interim Administrator (092), Department Chairperson (105) for ELA and Special Education, with additional licensure in Special Education, English, Theatre/Drama, and multiple Adult Education areas.
