Participated on the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality Technical Advisory Committee for the new VPDES General Permit for contaminated effluent discharges (VAG 83). • Conduct sampling and analysis of water and soil during field studies, interpret data and results, and prepare technical recommendations within Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments using ASTM guidelines. • Perform Site Characterization Reports that delineate contaminant plumes and assess risk. • Complete corridor hazardous material surveys for Right-of-Way acquisitions. • Assist in enrolling suitable projects through the Voluntary Remediation Program with the goal of obtaining a certification of satisfactory completion of remediation. • Manage underground storage tank removals/closures per Virginia and South Carolina regulations, as well as prepare documents and obtain funding from the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality for the reimbursement of petroleum storage tank related assessments and remediation. • Execute construction phase services, including contaminated soil and groundwater management and disposal during construction. • Responsible for ensuring environmental programs are performed in accordance to state and federal environmental regulations on mega roadway/transit projects. • Accountable for project management consisting of development of scope and fee and work plans, cost estimates, project billing, maintaining project schedule, budgetary compliance, and overseeing sub-consultants. • Meet private and public clients by attending marketing functions and client lunches, providing technical training and leading/participating in interviews. • Collect, process, and analyze environmental data utilizing Trimble Global Positioning System (GPS) hardware and software, ESRI Geographic Information System (GIS), and ArcMap software (version 10.1).
