ABOUT MICHELLE SUMAZA
I am a senior at the University of Oklahoma with a strong foundation in legal reasoning, historical legal systems, and linguistic analysis. I am pursuing a dual degree in Linguistics and Letters with a concentration in Constitutional Studies. I’m currently writing my honors thesis on the development of Roman Republican homicide law, examining how early legal frameworks evolved into public criminal prosecution — work that strengthens my interest in criminal law, argumentation, and jurisprudence. Alongside academics, I’ve held leadership roles across campus and through my employer as I value collaboration, service, and clear communication. I’m driven by rigorous research, precision in language, and evidence-based analysis, all qualities I look forward to bringing into law school and the legal profession.
