ABOUT MICHELLE SILBER
Be the change you wish to see in the world.” (Mahatma Gandhi) My name is Michelle Silber and I am truly honored to be the PR Lead for Relay For Life of West Bloomfield and Bloomfield Hills, MI. On December 29, 2011 my world changed forever. That was the day I lost my beautiful mom to cancer. She was my best friend, my hero and my inspiration to get involved with Relay. Since then I have gone through a range of emotions including sadness, anger, helplessness, confusion and loneliness. I have even questioned myself as to why I should continue to “Relay.” But then I realized I need to do MORE in the “fight against cancer” so that others don’t go through what my mom did. I want my daughters to see a world with less cancer and more cures. I have turned my emotions into passion. A passion to work “with” the entire community-businesses, schools, doctor’s offices, churches, synagogues, and people with their families to raise lots of money for The American Cancer Society while creating an amazing event for all! Please join me in this fight and get involved with Relay- it is the greatest “gift” you can give yourself. “TOGETHER,” we WILL make a difference in our community and in our world.
