ABOUT MICHELLE P.
I am an energetic, dedicated, and compassionate nurse who is a strong advocate for my patients. I am self-directed, practice within my scope, and work collaboratively with patients, their families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote optimal health and well-being.My years of nursing experience have strengthened my ability to prioritize effectively, deliver timely and high-quality care, and respond confidently to rapidly changing environments. Working in diverse settings, including public and community health as well as medical-surgical nursing, has enriched my theoretical knowledge, clinical judgment, and professional versatility.Holding international licensure and registration in three different countries has broadened my understanding of global healthcare standards and enhanced my ability to provide safe, ethical, and culturally sensitive care that respects diversity, promotes holistic wellness, and honors individual choice. As a graduate of the Academic Pathway for Internationally Educated Nurses, I have successfully met the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) requirements for safe practice and language proficiency to work as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Ontario. This program, supported by the Government of Canada through educational bursaries, is designed to help internationally educated nurses transition into the Canadian healthcare system and address the growing demand for qualified healthcare professionals.
