ABOUT MICHELLE OLAKKENGIL

Raised in NYC by first-generation South Asian immigrants, I’ve always carried with me a deep belief that everyone—regardless of who they are or where they live—deserves dignity, opportunity, and wellbeing. This foundational value has shaped both my worldview and my career. I’m a mission-driven social impact leader with over eight years of experience across government, non-profit, and private sectors, working in both Sub-Saharan Africa and the United States. My work spans project management, data analytics, strategy, and partnership development, all grounded in a commitment to equity and empowerment. With a background in public health and an intrapreneurial mindset, I support evidence-based, impact-driven programs that drive meaningful change. I bring a collaborative and systems-level approach to building partnerships, streamlining operations, and translating complex data into actionable insights. Whether in the field or at the strategy table, I strive to elevate local voices and co-create solutions that last. At my core, I’m dedicated to advancing progressive, people-centered solutions to today’s most urgent health and socio-economic challenges, and to helping communities not just survive, but thrive.
