ABOUT MICHELLE OBIOMA

I\'m a junior at Indiana University pursuing a degree in Journalism and a minor in Comparative Literature. I intend to get a career in graphic design or study law. Whichever path I choose, I aim to work at a company that allows me to make a visible impact on my local community.Throughout the years, I\'ve held positions that have shaped my sense of self and leadership abilities. Some of these positions included reporting and creating motion graphics for one of the top high school media programs in Indiana and working in the summer as a Broadcast Media Intern at Fort Wayne Football Club. In college, I took on roles like Little 500 Network Co-director, and IUSTV Marketing director which have given me a breath of insight into the media landscape. In these roles, I’ve had the opportunity to further hone my graphic design and managerial skills. I’ve learned a sense of resiliency, creative problem-solving, and strengthened my collaboration abilities through these positions and experiences.Through my roles as a Mark Cuban Center Graphic Design Intern, Media School and IFS Teaching Assistant, and WIUX Radio Show DJ, I’ve bolstered my time management skills and learned how to translate big concepts into tangible outcomes. Within these positions, collaboration and communication are my strong suits.
