I manage and teach the ‘Functional Skills English’, GCSE English’ and ‘Living in Modern Britain’ provisions in the Adult Directorate of the college. We teach community outreach programmes to refugees, asylum seekers, migrants and immigrants at various city-wide sites. The learners range from Pre-Entry to Level 1 ESOL and in addition qualification for Life and Living Skills (Entry 1 and 2).• I take responsibility for the leadership of staff and courses across the subjects.• I act as the college representative in external settings and with venue staff• I work with other leaders in the Directorate to raise student achievement and improve the learning experience for students.• I motivate staff to maintain an effective workforce capable of meeting the College’s objectives.• I work with managers to drive up the quality of delivery to ensure high levels of success.• I carry out line management responsibilities as directed by Senior Leaders• I actively take part in the College’s Performance Management system, including appraisal and training of staff. I also undertake any other duties that can be accommodated within the grading of the post
